Paper Orchids for an Engagement Shoot

March 16, 2011 By radmegan 5 Comments

Hanging Flowers

My niece is flying into town from Utah tomorrow and I’m going to be shooting her engagement photos. I cannot wait to see her and her husband-to-be. For the shoot, I wanted to craft up some sweet little props she might want to use, and decided that paper orchids would be a great compliment to her colors and style.

Cymbidium

Out of butcher paper, I cut and folded Cymbidiums, Phalaenopsis, and Oncidiums.

Paper Moth Orchid

With some extra Oncidiums, I strung up a little mobile for the guest room.

I’m so looking forward to photographing my lovely niece, and will share a few of the images with you as soon as I can!

Oh, and by the way, I’ve set up a facebook “fan page.” It’s still in it’s infancy, but soon I’ll be posting information, give-aways and exciting new there, so I’d sure appreciate it if you would “like” my page!

They’re absolutely gorgeous – how do you make them? Could you make a tutorial?

These are so cute and look very simple to make! Any photo shoot would be improved with these little flowers. Thanks for sharing!
