If you are short on time this winter, you are not alone. But before you just start rapid fire clicking away on Amazon.com, consider making a few sets of these felt snow globe coasters as gifts.
This fall, my husband and I packed up the contents of our home, and drove it car-load by car-load to a new home, two hours away. Our two and a half year old son literally had his tiny, curious fingers in every single box I packed. It felt like the process of moving took one and a half thousand years to complete. By the time Thanksgiving rolled around, we found ourselves eyeball deep in unopened moving boxes AND out-of-town overnight guests. Finding time to breathe alone felt like a Christmas miracle. But one by one, boxes get unpacked, toddlers begin to get settled and re-discover their old toys, and in the midst of it all, a batch of snow globe coasters was born. Making mini winter scenes out of felt was terribly satisfying, and since this is a no-sew project, you only need to unpack your felt, glue and glitter to complete a set of these festive coasters. Whether you make them for yourself, or a holiday gift, they are worth making.
