On fitness, cheating the scale, and faking an appointment at the pool

August 16, 2010 By radmegan 5 Comments

Suit Up

Before I stepped on the scale this morning, I removed every article of clothing. I used the toilet twice just in case there was any pesky urine trying to weigh me down. And I brushed my teeth. Not because it’s good morning hygiene which it is, but because in my head, I wondered if plaque weighed much. I even considered shaving my legs before weighing in.

Today marks the start of Operation 10 in 3. I will lose 10lbs in 3 weeks. I am going to slightly alter my diet, my portions, and for crying out loud, it’s time to start working out again. This morning I went to the public pool and swam gracefully for 30 minutes, and then flailed in the pool for another 5 before checking my watch, and exiting the pool rapidly, so that it looked like I was late for something, rather than too exhausted to finish one hour of lap swimming. This afternoon, I’ll be plugging in the Wii for a bit of Wii Fit goodness.

Wish me luck, and join me if you dare!

Awesome! Lets go for it! What accessories do you need for Wii Dance?? Like, that thing you stand on? I was just thinking today that if I could dance to J-lo or Beyonce, I’d be sooooooo rad. Maybe I need to look into Wii Dance…

Thank you so much for sharing it.
An outcome of advanced technology is Body Fat Scales that help individuals in calculating not only their body weight but fat mass, lean mass and BMI as well.

Thank you for the comment Annie. I would LOVE a body fat scale some day. I find that they are far more encouraging than the traditional bathroom scale :)

EA Sports Active 2 is coming out at the end of November. Wii Fit is more “fun” and Active is more “adult”. I like using both series for variety.
