Recovery

January 11, 2010 By radmegan 3 Comments

The Mister’s surgery started at 7am today, and was over by 9am. The procedure went amazingly well, and all of the skin cancer in THIS patch was scooped out on the first try. They had all day reserved for the procedure, but since it was so quick, the nurse told him it was his lucky day, and that he should play Lotto.

He’s bandaged, and bulging from the forehead where he was cut deep and stitched up in multiple layers of tissue. He’s in no mood to play Lotto, but he is resting (semi)comfortably with an ice-pack pressed to his head.

He would much rather be in the van, out on an adventure, so today I post this photo for him. This was taken in September of 2008 when we drove up to SF on a whim and bought our first Westfalia Vanagon.

Feel better soon sweetheart! I love you and your fragile, sun-hating skin.
